You could be America’s next billionaire if you’re the grand prize winner of the Quicken Loans Billion Dollar Bracket Challenge. You read that right: one billion. Not one million. Not one hundred million. Not five hundred million. One billion U.S. dollars.

All you have to do is pick a perfect tournament bracket for the upcoming 2014 tournament. That’s it. Guess all the winners of all the games correctly, and Quicken Loans, along with Berkshire Hathaway, will make you a billionaire. The official press release is below. The contest starts March 3, 2014, so we’ll soon have all the info on how and when to enter your perfect bracket.

Good luck, my friends. This is your chance to play in perhaps the biggest sweepstakes in U.S. history. It’s your chance for a billion.

Oh, and by the way, the 20 closest imperfect brackets will win a cool hundred grand to put toward their home (or new home). Plus, in conjunction with the sweepstakes, Quicken Loans will donate $1 million to Detroit and Cleveland nonprofits to help with education of inner city youth.

So, to recap: If you’re perfect, you’ll win a billion. If you’re not perfect, you could win $100,000. The entry period begins Monday, March 3, 2014 and runs until Wednesday, March 19, 2014. Stay tuned on how to enter.

Here’s a little more information concerning the Billion Dollar Bracket Challenge:

Detroit-based Quicken Loans, the nation’s fourth largest mortgage lender, has joined forces with Warren Buffett and Berkshire Hathaway to offer a chance at a $1 billion prize for completing the perfect bracket in this March’s men’s college basketball championship tournament.

Any qualified entrant who correctly enters the contest and predicts the winners of every game in the tournament will share the total $1 billion prize paid in 40 annual installments of $25 million. Alternatively, the winner(s) may elect to receive an immediate $500 million lump sum payment or share in that lump sum payment if there is more than one perfect bracket submitted.

“We’ve seen a lot of contests offering a million dollars for putting together a good bracket, which got us thinking, what is the perfect bracket worth? We decided a billion dollars seems right for such an impressive feat,” said Jay Farner, president and chief marketing officer of Quicken Loans. “It is our mission to create amazing experiences for our clients. This contest, with the possibility of creating a billionaire, definitely fits that bill.”

In addition to the potential grand prize, Quicken Loans will award $100,000 each to the contest’s 20 most accurate “imperfect” brackets submitted by qualified entrants in the contest to use toward buying, refinancing or remodeling a home.

In conjunction with the Billion Dollar Bracket Challenge, Quicken Loans will also be directly donating $1 million to inner-city Detroit and Cleveland non-profit organizations that are dedicated to improving the education of young Detroit and Cleveland residents.

“Millions of people play brackets every March, so why not take a shot at becoming $1 billion richer for doing so,” added Buffett, chief executive officer of Berkshire Hathaway, who is insuring the contest’s grand prize. ”While there is no simple path to success, it sure doesn’t get much easier than filling out a bracket online. To quote a commercial from one of my companies, I’d dare say it’s so easy to enter that even a caveman can do it.”

Free registration for the Quicken Loans Billion Dollar Bracket will begin on Monday, March 3, 2014 and run until Wednesday, March 19, 2014. All participants registering prior to the tournament selection process will receive their brackets the evening of Sunday, March 16, 2014 when entrants can begin filling out their bracket.

To be eligible for the $1 billion grand prize, entrants must be 21 years of age, a U.S. citizen and one of the first 10 million to register for the contest. At its sole discretion, Quicken Loans reserves the right and option to expand the entry pool to a larger number of entrants. Submissions will be limited to a total of one per household. All qualified entrants are eligible for the 20 first prize awards of $100,000 for selecting the competition’s top 20 most accurate “imperfect” brackets.

Full contest rules along with more information about the Quicken Loans Billion Dollar Bracket challenge will be released and published in the days and weeks leading up to the men’s collegiate March championship tournament.

If I were a winner in the Billion Dollar Bracket Challenge, I would educate the nation’s citizens on Child Protective Service (CPS) and how it is destroying the families of our nation. Children are being ripped from parents and relatives under false allegations for federal funding from Social Security Title IV which is paid to the states.

Most citizens believe that CPS is the agency that comes to the rescue of children. However, it is the agency that brings over 29 billion dollars into the states each year on the backs of children. Across America parents and relatives fight to regain children that are loved and were not in harms way.

People may educate themselves on this evil through Facebook pages and many websites. Learn about CPS and how it is big business without true oversight. Never believe that your child or family will not be touched by CPS……it happens to so very many who are unsuspecting . The inner city children are the most vulnerable, because they are from poorer families who cannot afford to fight the system. However, middle class families are becoming very much affected by the CPS system.

The National Center on Child Abuse and Neglect in Washington, DC statistics show that children die over 6-7 times faster in state care than in parental care. There are children that need to be removed from wretched situations, however 80 % of the children removed from their family should never have been done so

We are just one agency, of many across the nation fighting this abuse of children by CPS.

If i were to win this big amount of money i would put it to good use and start a company that would hire here in the U.S. The economy is at the point where it’s brought wages down to the point where we can compete with other countries and still make a profit. I’m no crusader for truth and justice but i would enjoy have so much money and living superbly! America! Love it or leave it!

  4. Z Starling January 27, 2014 at 10:01 pm #

If I were to win, I would provide a neutral, yet competitive, environment for military forces to come together. This could provide all military a place to learn from each other, as well as provide a training field for those willing to learn home defense tactics. in essence multiple “kill houses”. as well as a place for all ages to play paintball, which is fun, though a bit expensive, something I would like to help show to others.

  5. MEVLÜT SARAÇOĞLU January 29, 2014 at 4:54 pm #

    I need $ 120,000 loan.
    I’ll close my debt.
I will pay back 12 or 15 years.
I would appreciate if you can help.
    best regards.

Divide it up evenly and give it all to our nation’s veterans (now less than 6 percent of the total U.S. population) — the only reason why such a contest, in freedom, and such wealth, is even possible. They are the only reason why Mr. Buffett’s wealth accumulation was possible in the first place. We owe them an infinite debt, and more than a “thank you.”

  8. Lawrence Redmacher February 3, 2014 at 9:26 pm #

    1. veterans were paid while serving.
    2. 1 billion divided among all the veterans would be like $45.00 each

  9. Ann Sweet February 4, 2014 at 2:02 am #

Tournament ? I haven’t been informed re: which tournament you are Refering to. However, I
Would love to join in the contest.

  10. Doug February 4, 2014 at 8:47 pm #

    want to win….:-)

  11. Murice February 9, 2014 at 3:53 am #

Honestly, I would do the following.
    1. Pay a 10% tithe of 100 million and a 10% offering of 100 million, which leaves 800 million.

    2. Pay a 15% tax of 120 million which leaves 680 million.

    3. Take out 80 million for personal. (Pay all debt for myself, my wife, any family member. Savings account, investments, etc.) Which leaves 600 million.

    4. I would invest the money into various organizations that help students when it comes to education. Specifically, helping young people avoid student loan debt trap, helping to get those who are stuck in debt a way out. For this venture I would invest 200 million which leaves 400 million.

    5. There are so many homeless individuals who would do so much if they were given a chance. So I would invest 100 million into an organization or even start one that truly helps them. Help them by providing housing, food, job training, etc. The organization would help them get on their feet and enable them to help others. Now there is 300 million left.

    6. Create grants for small businesses with a total investment of 200 million.

    7. The last 100 million will be donated to non profits in the area of disaster response. There has been numerous disasters in the last 10 years and if another disaster strikes, it is good to have money allocated to help instantly.

  12. nick February 11, 2014 at 12:44 am #

Murice: Sorry buddy, but there is a slight issue with your current financial plan. If you read through the small print you will see that you are offered a $500M lump sum payment (which should be your post-tax collection – you will have to get used to higher tax bracket than 15%).

Lawrence: I’m guessing you have never served your country? I only say that because that is the typical “tool-bag” response from those who have know idea what it’s like to make a fraction of what you could make in the civilian sector while laying your life on the line to guarantee the freedom of the same people who make comments on websites about “getting paid to serve.” Aside from that each veteran would actually get paid $303.00.

Mevlut: Try applying in the “loans” section of the website instead of the “comments” section.

Sally: Please don’t ever comment on a website again.

  13. Glanda Widger February 11, 2014 at 4:54 pm #

If I were to win a billion bucks , lets be honest people. I would get a face lift, go to a fat farm and make my kids millionaires.

  14. Shirley February 11, 2014 at 5:32 pm #

If I won a billion…I would seek the advise of a tax/financial adviser first, since I have no idea the implications of such a windfall. Then, I would tithe as God leads (many outreach ministries to spread the Gospel). GOD IS real….He is the Great I AM. He wants a relationship with ‘you’…if you would only ask and believe. I would also pledge to support St Jude’s Hospital and other deserving charities. Of course I will take care of my family and ‘spoil’ myself in a bit of luxury. To God be the Glory!

  15. Brittney February 11, 2014 at 6:39 pm #

I would pay off our hopefully soon mortgage and our vehicles and then donate the rest. Honestly, who needs that much money? Money makes people miserable. It woul be AWESOME to be debt free though.

  16. Frank Boyd February 11, 2014 at 11:21 pm #

The thought of winning a million dollars is very hard to imagine. Other then paying off bills, helping mine and my Wife’s families , helping veterans who are homeless and giving to the American cancer Society as I had cancer twice. I really don’t know what I would do with the rest of the money!

  17. Peggy Dyer February 11, 2014 at 11:36 pm #

If I were to win a billion bucks or $1000.00 I would thank the Lord and cry, after that I would pay my home off. Help my Children with all their financial problems. I would buy all new vehicles. Fix my home, and give to poor people.

  18. Joan February 12, 2014 at 5:43 am #

@Lawrence Redmacher our presidents, congress, senators were all also paid while they were working but you do not see them being handed the same raw deals our veterans are. Have you ever been to a VA hospital? Before you comment you should know what you are commenting on.

  19. LINDA February 12, 2014 at 12:18 pm #

A billion Dollars would pay off all I owe and then I would buy Real estate to help the needy along with giving money to Food Banks to help feed our society that needs help so desperately.I would not quit working just slow down abit. But above all help people .

  20. Myra Chambliss February 12, 2014 at 12:58 pm #

If I were to win a billion dollars the first thing I would do is pay the taxes. The government would have to come first. The very next thing would be to purchase residential land in the big cities of the united states. Detroit, Chicago, New York, Newark, and build houses in the style of three flat grey stone (lime stone), Of Chicago and the Brown Stones of New York. These locations will be rental property with first choice being to my family members whom I love. I would go back to the large rooms with ten to twelve foot ceilings. Each unit will have unique floor plans with high end finishes.
With these being well on the way I would turn to purchasing land in rural areas in Mississippi, Alabama and maybe Texas, where my family roots began. The purpose would be the same with rental properties. First choice to my family members but always with continuing income for myself.
Then “The Purple Wedding Chapel”. Where beautiful weddings in inner cities, will be afforded to those with little money. These plans would be under wraps until the unveiling. Now I can’t let you know everything now can I. These would be a win for the cities, states, and townships will receive ongoing taxes and quicken loans would be involved some how.
Next I would travel, get some stamps in my passport. I would live without financial worries and my family(my children and my grand children) would be given money to start the businesses to keep them with income for the remainder of their lives.
    How about that?

If I were a winner I will share it with homeless veterans and implement my project, with conjunction to quick loan, to provide shelter for those homeless veterans who protect us. According to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (2013) On a Single Night in January 2013There were 57,849 homeless veterans in the United States

I studied this “perfect bracket” thing last year when the team I work with started talking smack in our company bracket challenge. It turns out that in the history of the NCAA tournament no one has ever legitimately filled out a prefect bracket. Not even close.

I by some chance I did get lucky enough to win, I would build new business locations in my town and offer to lease them to struggling businesses at a lower than market cost. My town could use a more stable business community and this stability could create more jobs.

Oh, and I’d buy a big mansion with a swimming pool and a pet dolphin to swim with and there would be a big room full of gold coins to dive into just like Scrooge McDuck… Naaa, I don’t need any of that stuff.

It is really cool that Quicken is giving $100,000 to the 20 people that are lucky enough to put in a decent NCAA bracket though.

  24. David R March 2, 2014 at 12:06 pm #

  25. Bob Dole is hilarious March 2, 2014 at 3:43 pm #

When I win…….and Duke is awarded the NCAA National Championship for 2014. I’m going to buy a Fendi Leather Jacket to set the tone for the day. Then I’ll Invite the National Champions to a dinner where we will enjoy life and discuss how in the hell I predicted their win over lobster calamari. I’ll donate about half my winnings to the non-profits who actually care about changing the world. The Bill and Melinda Gates fund for instance, since he’d probably be a good guy to get in good terms with. College Loans would be next. After that I’d just be spoiling myself and the people I love for the rest of my life because I deserve it.

  26. SAMANTHE PIERCE March 2, 2014 at 3:47 pm #

If I were to win, I would build a community for single mothers. It would include education programs, daycare, financial planning, and counseling. It takes a village to raise a child and in today’s world the support of a community to give children being raised by single mother’s a fighting chance. Having a safe secure place to raise your children in an environment of support could change a lot of lives. What we need is more family support, along with education.

  27. andrew March 3, 2014 at 12:04 am #

    I would help others.

  28. Rav'inmad March 3, 2014 at 6:41 pm #

Most of you people are completely out to lunch, especially Bob D. who doesn’t know what calamari is but thinks he’s a natural high roller. He’s just high. MEVLÜT SARAÇOĞLU thinks he can get a loan if he wins. Yo Mel, buddy, news flash: you won’t need a loan if you win! Romania called and they want you to come home now. All of you others who claim you would donate to this charity and create that charity are fools. If you want to benefit people start a business, create jobs, put people to work so they can appreciate what they earn and gain some self respect by taking care of their own. Continuing to throw money at problems is the worst thing you can do. That’s the attitude our child president has. He gives people money that he takes from others. It’s all about garnering votes from the stupid. Meanwhile our once great and generous nation is in trouble. People like Warren Buffet feel guilty about their great wealth, but instead of creating an atmosphere of independence or good paying jobs he creates a stupid game of chance for basketball fans. You are all dreamers living a false reality. Isn’t this fun?

  29. Maurice March 4, 2014 at 12:17 pm #

I would give God and country their cut, help family as we all would.
Then I would search hi and low for doctors who could help with this nerve disease I got while a Marine. There has to be a better solutdinner drug me up and see ya next time. Then i would take my wife to dinner.

  30. Fred March 4, 2014 at 6:47 pm #

I would take the $500 lump sum.

Reluctantly give the politicians their cut, which will leave me with maybe $350 million.

Give my parents and brothers and their families a million each to solve all of their financial problems.. still leaving $347 million.

Put $10 million in a trust account for each of my 3 children, and $1 million for each of my nephews and nieces.

Invest the rest into my existing retail businesses to expand, create jobs, and grow my recurring income stream.

  36. Bill March 8, 2014 at 1:51 pm #

There should be an alternate method of entry for people without mobile phones and SMS. For months before registration opened, the “rules” were published in many newspaper stories. then, when the site goes online, there are more obstacles. I understand that you don’t want multiple entries using multiple phones, but if you set up an alternate method of validation, you could make sure that names aren’t duplicated.
Federal taxes on this jackpot are 39.6%. Then, state taxes.
I don’t think the winner should donate anything to charity. A lump sum of this magniture carries an obligation to do something with it yourself. Disney has a housing community called Golden Oak in Orlando that raises the standards for new homes. So many homes in the US were built over 50 years ago and need to be replaced with current technology. Every year building codes are more lax, allowing more apartments to replace single-family residenes, leading to parking congestion and eventually slums. Jeff Bezos and larry Ellison seem to be wasting their fortunies. Yach racing? Really? Some day I’ll explain why “stupid clubs”, where stupid people sit around and tell each other how smart they are, are flourishing.

  37. Beverly March 9, 2014 at 1:37 pm #

The rules say a land line phone is enough, but when I tried to register, there was no place for a land line number. It wouldn’t take my registration. How do I get around this problem?

  38. Keith Guyot March 9, 2014 at 5:15 pm #

    Hi Beverly!

I’ll have someone look into this issue and then reach out to you directly.

    Have a great weekend.

  39. Andy March 9, 2014 at 9:33 pm #

So you offer a 1 Billion prize for a perfect bracket, then direct players to one of the lousiest existing sites on the internet ‘Yahoo’, who requires a mobile number so they can text market to you which it clearly states in the agreement. How about taking your billion dollar bracket that no one will win anyway and shoving it up Yahoo’s you know what.

  40. Kathy March 10, 2014 at 9:13 am #

I had the same problem. There was a box to enter a phone number for verification, but when I typed in my land line it just gave me an error message saying, “This is not a mobile number.”

  41. Keegs March 10, 2014 at 6:42 pm #

is this billion dollars only eligible for Americans or can you enter the bracket if you live outside of the country and are not from America?????

  42. Big Lee March 10, 2014 at 7:31 pm #

Same problem with the landline. Also, feel so good about your partnership with Yahoo, which is infamous for its security breaches.

  43. jeff March 10, 2014 at 10:00 pm #

i just want the chance to be ahead in life and take care of my family and close friends who have stuck with me through out the years i’d be very careful with the winnings i would’nt do anything stupid with it like buy a pair of $20,000,00 jeans or thousand dollar shirts to try and impress somebody[not my style anyhow] i’d like to buy a large farm and raise cattle & crops marry my girlfriend finally but we can’t on what we make and way too many financial woes between us for that to happen but hopefully someday day that dream can happen i still have faith in it anyhow i guess i’m just like most people who are tried of working from paycheck to paycheck and still not have nothing i know this i’d never take any of it for granted if i were to win..

  44. Normajean March 11, 2014 at 12:34 am #

Plain and simple. With a billion dollars, I would purchase a forever home for my family, a good functioning vehicle, get health and life insurance for every member of my family, and set up a savings account for my children to get a good education. With a billion dollars, I would be able to leave my 40 hour a week job and spend more time doing the job I really love, being a full time mom and wife. Nurturing my family is the best job in the world, it’s the only job I would never give up for a billion dollars.

  45. Mistie Sorrells March 11, 2014 at 2:42 am #

Since this contest is limited to 15 million contestants,if I were to be so incredibly lucky to win a billion dollars, I would give each of the 15 million contestants a million dillars a piece. My great grandchildrenwould still be wealthy so why be so greedy. I’d also make annual contributions to charities such as for the homeless, childrens hospitals, cancer research and animal rescue organizations and our nations veterans. What’s the point of having all that money and hoarding it? Boost the economy, help our fellow americans and giving thanks and appreciation to our veterans which keep us safe at night.

    Hi Byron

Please go to quickenloansbracket.com and then log in with your Yahoo ID. You should see the following:
    Congrats, you completed registration!

If not, there should be directions that you still need to take some extra steps. (verify email, etc)

That should take care of any final steps (if needed). Let us know if you still have any questions. Thanks and good luck!

  51. AF March 13, 2014 at 9:37 am #

I also can’t register with my land line. Is there something I can do to get around that verification step? I haven’t received any confirmation, just clicked on the Verification button on the bracket page.

  52. Clayton Closson March 13, 2014 at 9:43 am #

Please try the following steps. If these don’t work, please let me know.

    Clayton

  53. AF March 13, 2014 at 10:33 am #

(Typed this before, may have lost it due to the “posting too fast/slow down error on hitting Enter…)
I followed the steps to register using my Yahoo account (not a new account). Got the mobile-only verification option. Registered again and created a new yahoo account. Got the land line code, entered that. Got an email verification notice from Yahoo. Clicked on that. Got a message saying my phone number had already been used (my wife also registered), and that I couldn’t enter the bracket challenge. I thought this was one entry per person, not one entry per land line?

  54. Keith Guyot March 13, 2014 at 12:09 pm #

    Hi AF,

We are unable to accept multiple registrants using the same phone number. Each registrant must use a phone number that was not used to register by someone else. For more information, check out http://www.BillionDollarBracket.com.

    Thanks for reading!

  55. AF March 13, 2014 at 4:22 pm #

Thanks for your reply, Keith. But I’ve read the rules, and they say, ” (b) as of January 1, 2014 and continuing through the entire Entry Window (defined below), a mobile (or landline) telephone owner under a continuing contract with a service provider for telephone service;… ” My wife and I have had joint ownership of this land line for 20 years. I’ll be happy to show you the white pages listings, we’re both listed there. So why don’t we qualify according to the rules?

  56. thomas March 13, 2014 at 6:08 pm #

I’ve entered the contest and was requested by email to verify. Yet when I hit the button to verify it comes back that the verify link was invalid..

  57. Keith Guyot March 13, 2014 at 6:13 pm #

    Hi AF,

I’ve forwarded your concerns and questions to our experts who will be reaching out to you soon via email. They will be able to discuss the rules and regulations in greater detail. I apologize for any confusion.

    Have a good night!

  58. thomas March 13, 2014 at 6:16 pm #

I was notified by email to verify my email. Yet when I send to verify. It comes back with verify link was invalid. What do I do now.

  59. Clayton Closson March 13, 2014 at 10:10 pm #

    Hi Thomas

Please try this and see if you can finish the registration. Sign in to QuickenLoansBracket.com. After signing in, you should be taken to the “You’re almost there” page. Click on the “Please click here for further instruction” link. You will then be redirected to the “Your registration is almost complete!” page, where you need to click the “Resend Email” button. A validation email should be sent.

Let me know if you still have trouble after doing the above

    Thanks

    Clayton

  60. thomas March 14, 2014 at 7:09 am #

when i sign in to qickenloansbracket. com it sends me to a verification page when it then asks for my phone number. When i give it my phone number it comes back and tells me that the number is not a cell phone number. Which it is a land line number. I do not have a cell phone number. And again I would like to mention that I have recieved email relating to the contest.

  61. Clayton Closson March 14, 2014 at 10:12 am #

    Hi Thomas

landlines should work. On the verification page, there should be a link under the “SMS” option with steps to use a landline. You can also go here for step by step instructions: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/SLN22979.html?impressions=true

I apologize for your trouble. Please let me know if you still can’t enter.

    Thanks

    Clayton

  62. Bill Frome March 14, 2014 at 12:56 pm #

I cannot enter the contest because for tae sake of economy I do not receive messages on my cell phone. I can only receive email. Note Email above. It’s not so simple, at least for me, that as Mr. Buffett says, “even a cave man an enter’”

  63. thomas March 14, 2014 at 1:04 pm #

there is nothing under the sms option and no other choices are provided other than the one I mentioned earlier. Lets also understand that yahoo already contacted me with the verification code and I submitted that code. So both my land line phone number and my email are known. Why is it still necessary to verity.

  64. Victoria Araj March 14, 2014 at 2:43 pm #

    Hi Bill,

If you’re signing up for a new account, but don’t have a mobile phone, it’s okay. You can use your landline number to sign up for a Yahoo ID and, ultimately, a chance at a billion dollars.

After you finish registration, you’ll receive a call from Yahoo with a verification code to complete the registration process.

Sign up for a Yahoo ID without a mobile number:

1.Visit http://www.QuickenLoansBracket.com to register for the Quicken Loans Billion $ Bracket Challenge.
2.Fill out your information and click Agree & continue.
    - You’ll be asked to sign in to your Yahoo account.
    3.Click Create New Account.
4.Fill out your information, using your landline phone number in the “Mobile number” field.
    5.Click Create Account.
    - You’ll be taken to a “Verification” page.
    6.Click Continue.
    7.Click Call me.
    - You’ll receive a call from Yahoo shortly at the number you provided with a verification code so keep the webpage open.
8.Enter the code you received during the call in the “Code” field.
    9.Click Submit code.

  65. thomas March 14, 2014 at 3:09 pm #

sure “even a cave man can enter” that’s because it seems like a caveman designed the contest. Right now your odds of entering this contest are about 1 in 236 million,

  66. Victoria Araj March 14, 2014 at 3:37 pm #

    Hi Thomas,

Hi Thomas, you can find info under the official rules in the first section about eligibility here: http://www.quickenloansbracket.com/rules/rules.html. Good luck to you!

  68. Why not March 14, 2014 at 4:02 pm #

    If I was to win:

300 million would go to R & D in order to find Perpetual motion and lighting harnessing in order to cure the world of dirty energy that is slowly killing us. 90 million to build a clean energy farm. 10 million to start my own charity.

15 000 000 to friends, family and charity

10 000 000 to build an apartment building

    5 000 000 to build a farm

    5 000 000 for bonds
    5 000 000 for stock investing

    10 000 000 to blow on me.

  69. thomas March 14, 2014 at 4:44 pm #

okay I’ve done these things that you have suggested. I’ve recieved the verification code by yahoo calling me on my land line phone number and then submitted the code as requested. After doing this is when I start to have the problems. I recieve an email that I click on which sends me to a verification page that asks for my phone number. When I give my land line phone number it comes back and tells me that it is not a cell phone number. And once again there is no place on this page to enter a land line phone number.

  70. Doug Spaulding March 15, 2014 at 9:34 am #

Having to sign up a new account with Yahoo is not worth the billion dollars I would otherwise have won. Screw them.

  71. Dottie March 15, 2014 at 9:51 am #

I would love to enter this contest. However, I do not have a mobile phone and do not plan to get one. You’ve commented that contestants can enter with a landline but there is no option for this on the Yahoo entry page nor do you explain on your website how this is possible.

You really should make entries available to anyone through your website. Companies that require me to establish accounts I don’t want or implement unreasonable restrictions for contest entries lose any chance of doing business with me.

  72. HelpfulDad March 15, 2014 at 10:03 am #

I take the lump sum because otherwise you’re at the mercy of Quicken’s solvency. Then the very first thing is I’d pay for my daughter to have her teeth capped. Number 2, by a Bentley W12. Then hire accountants to catch up on all my paperwork and pay all my debts. Number 4, sleep soundly.

  73. david March 16, 2014 at 6:12 pm #

I entered, and it says “our phone number has already been entered.”

I’ve never entered with this phone number?? Any help?

  74. Dan March 16, 2014 at 6:21 pm #

I just signed up for the first and only time for the Billion $ Bracket Challenge and am receiving a message saying “Your phone number has already been entered.” How is this possible? I never received a text message with a verification code prior to 20 minutes ago. How could someone else possibly have entered the challenge with my mobile number without my knowledge? They would need access to my phone to complete the registration.

  75. Benner March 16, 2014 at 6:27 pm #

What gives? I entered and verified email and phone and it says “your number has already been entered but you can still play for bragging rights” so what is it? I can’t tell if I’m entered or not… Did someone else use my phone number to enter? I’m so confused… Is there a way to confirm your entered?

  76. Jeff Starkweather March 16, 2014 at 6:31 pm #

I tried signing up for the billion bracket. I filled out my information and first got an error. I then tried it again and everything went through just fine except now it says my phone number has already been used.
    Now what?

  77. Adam March 16, 2014 at 6:35 pm #

    Hello,

I have a cell phone that only I use. When I tried to enter, I got a message that “Your phone number has already been entered.” even though I was signing up for the first time (this year, I’ve played in past years). If that’s true, someone’s using my phone number who shouldn’t be. How do I solve this problem?

  78. Chris March 16, 2014 at 6:38 pm #

I tried to register and was notified
My mobile number has already been registered, however, I had not yet registered. How can I fix this and submit a valid entry?

I registered but my browser crashed before I could enter the verification code I received. I logged back in to try again, at which time it still said to put in my phone number. I put my phone number in again, entered the verification code and also verified my email. It now says sorry your phone number has already been used and that I am only eligible to play for bragging rights. Please help! Thank you.

  87. Victoria Araj March 16, 2014 at 6:50 pm #

Hi Sean, we have made Yahoo aware that a few folks are receiving this message and will communicate with you once there’s a resolution. Thanks for your patience!

I keep getting an error saying, “Your phone number has already been entered.”, but it hasn’t been entered. This is my first time trying to register and none of my family or friends are using my number. What can I do?

I registered and it said “The phone number you verified has already been used to enter the challenge.” but this is the first time I have signed up for this contest.

  92. George March 16, 2014 at 7:01 pm #

I tried to enter and it didn’t ASK for a phone number – but then said my phone number (HWAT phone number??) had already been used. What gives?

  93. jedd March 16, 2014 at 7:01 pm #

I tried to register for the bracket challenge, I went through all the steps, put in my phone number, got the text. Put in the verification code and then submitted the verification email. But when I went back to the page it says my phone number has already been entered, (it was entered once and I received one text) and that “Don’t worry, you can still play Tourney Pick’em for bragging rights”. I am pretty sure that something went wrong in the registration process and I am looking for ways to fix it.

  94. Bart March 16, 2014 at 7:12 pm #

I tried to log-in today but says that my phone number is already in use. I tried my wife’s cell phone number and got the same message, not sure what is going on. Unless someone else has my cell phone number, which would be pretty weird. Is there anyway to just wipe out my phone number and I can register all over again?

  95. Derek March 16, 2014 at 7:12 pm #

I have the same issue. It says my phone number has already been used but I only registered once and only received one smg message. Please help!

I tried to register for the bracket and it says my phone number has already been registered… I think this is a mistake

  100. Robert March 16, 2014 at 7:14 pm #

Why did I get a “Your phone number has already been entered.” on my registration when this was the only time I signed up for the tourney. It says I can still enter for bragging rights- I want the billion, that’s why I bothered to register, What gives, and how can I find out if someone has entered my phone number without my permission? I want to play for the billion. I probably can’t use a different number now because the have my name and DOB-please help.

  101. Nicholas March 16, 2014 at 7:15 pm #

Victoria, please help me with the error message: Your phone number has already been entered.

    Thank you

  102. omar mungani March 16, 2014 at 7:18 pm #

Also have this “cell phone number already used” issue. Tried using my cell phone number as well as my son’s cell phone number and got the same message twice. Could 15 million people already have registered causing this error message?

  103. Victoria Araj March 16, 2014 at 7:21 pm #

Hi Nicholas, i sent you a direct email, please check your inbox! Thanks!

  104. Steve March 16, 2014 at 7:21 pm #

I am also finding that my phone number was already used, but I know it wasn’t. So now it won’t let me play except for bragging rights. What is the fix to this problem?

  105. Ian March 16, 2014 at 7:22 pm #

I am having the same problem as some other people here. I tried to register, was redirected to create a yahoo account, made an account, then had to navigate back to the bracket page and was given the error “Your phone number has already been entered.” What now? I don’t have a second phone number to give.

  106. Amanda March 16, 2014 at 7:22 pm #

I registered and got the following message “The phone number you verified has already been used to enter the challenge.” My number is a CELL PHONE and NO ONE ELSE has access to it. Why the hell are you letting people mass generate brackets using other people’s numbers?? The legitimacy of this just went down the toilet. Total scam.

  107. jarrod March 16, 2014 at 7:24 pm #

It keeps telling me my phone has already been used even though it hasnt and wont let me make my picks? what do i do?

  108. shaw March 16, 2014 at 7:25 pm #

When I verified my phone number it said the number was already registered, which is not true. It is my personal cell phone and I have not yet registered it for a bracket.

  109. Mark March 16, 2014 at 7:27 pm #

Just went through all the registration, got the SMS and verified, got the email and verified and then I got a message stating “Your phone number has already been entered”. This is impossible given that I only just not registered.

  110. Matthew Heffler March 16, 2014 at 7:29 pm #

I just tried to register for the tournament. I tried using my personal cell number and my work cell number, but both times it told me that my phone number was already used. This is the first time I have tried to sign up so I know for a fact these numbers were not previously used, but it still says they have been. What do I do?

  111. Scott March 16, 2014 at 7:29 pm #

I wish I could win the Billion, truth is I cannot even fill out a bracket as it keeps telling me my phone number has already been entered and I have yet to see a bracket!!! They have posted this on the website that they are aware of the problem but I am not hopeful they will get it fixed before the 15 million brackets are filled out!! Just very frustrated and feelling like a big hoax or waste of time! If anyone has some great information that will help me get to an actual bracket that would make my day!! As for if i were ever to win the money I would open up an orphanage to help all the childern in the US that need a safe home that has 3 meals a day and people that care for their future!!

Help me get to a bracket!!!

    Scott

I just tried to register; and used my mobile phone for the SMS verfication. I got the SMS and verified with the 4 digit code. I then didn’t get an email for verification. So I clicked the resend email verification. The first email was for a chartermi account; so I clicked to use different email (my yahoo email). I then got a message that my phone number has already been entered; but I can still play for bragging rights. What gives? No one else should have my phone number. Thanks much for your help. Steve

I seem to be having the same problem as detailed above- this is my first time creating an account and after verifying my cell and email, it says “The phone number you verified has already been used to enter this challenge”. This is incorrect- can someone please advise what the solution is and how to enter?

I just registered with my yahoo! email and my private cell number, and just as many others, upon clicking the verification I got sent to a screen that says my cell number has already been used. Hopefully there will be a fix for this, because it seems as though it is happening to many of us. Thanks in advance for your help.

  125. Matt March 16, 2014 at 7:50 pm #

“Your phone number has already been entered”. Is the message I get and I can’t enter a bracket. I verified my email and then I get that message. That’s a nice way to do things. Get my personal info first and than not let me enter a bracket. Please tell me there is a way to let me in?

  126. Sage March 16, 2014 at 7:52 pm #

This is absolute BS. I entered all the info. that you were asking for, including my phone number. Now my number has already been used?! Either someone else took my number, or this is a giant scam to gather peoples information. I think the latter is more likely. Please fix this. Thanks.

  127. Jeff March 16, 2014 at 7:54 pm #

I’ve spent hours on this and it’s not possible to register via. landline.
I don’t have text messaging on my cell phone so I was forced to use my land line.
To do this you have to create a new email address.
After this you can have yahoo call you and enter the verification number.
All this goes fine , then it says you must verify the email address.
The problem is , it never sent the email. So I click send again and it goes to the verify with mobile phone screen.
This is because I have logged into the email that I registered with to check for the verification email (Not the new one I was forced to create to register via landline)
After I realize that this is creating an issue, I log out of my regular email and log into the new email.
Now I can click send again and the screen flashes, but it never sends the email.
So… I notice a button that says change the email address.
I change it to the email that I was forced to create and now it sends the email.
I click the verification and now I just get a message saying my phone number has been used but I am welcome to play for fun ;/
There are no other people at my house. I was willing to share my information , knowing it would lead to years of spam and telemarketers and now I’ve wasted hours on this…………..
    I hate you!

  128. Victoria Araj March 16, 2014 at 7:55 pm #

Hi Sage, I assure you this is not a scam, Yahoo Sports is aware of the issue and is working toward a resolution. Thank you for your patience and good luck!

l had the same problem they said my phone number was already taken bullcrap they will not let you try to correct the problem they also said I type in the wrong email address I think it is that I didn’t agree to see if I could get a smaller loan rate etc. They kicked my ass to the curb . Go Quicken Loan yeah right

  139. Victoria Araj March 16, 2014 at 8:40 pm #

Byron, I understand your frustration, and I’m sorry for the current inconvenience, Yahoo Sports is aware of the issue and is working diligently to resolve it. We will communicate once this has been fixed. We thank you for your patience and wish you good luck in the challenge!

  149. Bracket Basics March 17, 2014 at 9:23 am #

I finally got past the phone number part and now I’m on my bracket.
The problem is, I can’t fill it out.
It says Bracket Basics click anywhere to close.
Clicking doesn’t close it. The help stays on the screen and it will only slide the page down to the center of the screen when you click.
Using the current version of google chrome on a windows 7 desktop machine.

I tried to create a yahoo account but it keeps showing that the phone # is invalid. I don’t have a mobile phone and so I put to call me but the same thing keeps popping up. That my phone number is invalid. What up with that?

I don’t currently have a US based cell phone, so I can’t receive the SMS verification. Any other options for me?

  159. Victoria Araj March 17, 2014 at 3:52 pm #

Hi Stuart, do you have a landline? If so, try these steps:

Sign up for a Yahoo ID without a mobile number

  160. Paul Lieffers March 17, 2014 at 4:37 pm #

I read the negative comments and some of the google postings on why someone shouldn’t enter. However, I thought it would be fun. I didn’t mind giving Quicken Loans my private information as I most likely to be refinancing or selling and perhaps buying by summer. However, I was stopped from completing the bracket challange by Yahoo Sports becauce I do not own a mobile phone (a required field). I didn”t know Yahoo was in the phone business. I also had a problem agreeing to terms and conditions–no problem with what I read, but could not determine how to do it. I know at 66 years I’m truly a dinosaur–but it seems to me that entry should be easy and steps transparent.

  161. Victoria Araj March 17, 2014 at 4:39 pm #

Hi Paul, it’s still possible to enter if you have a landline instead of a mobile phone. If so, try these steps:

Sign up for a Yahoo ID without a mobile number

  163. Me March 17, 2014 at 10:51 pm #

this is the worst contest ever – finally was able to create a yahoo account – which I don’t want or need – and now cant even complete the brackets – seems a ton of people are having the same problem!

    what gives?????

  164. Victoria Araj March 17, 2014 at 11:04 pm #

    Hi Marcia,
Yahoo Sports is aware there are some technical difficulties and are working hard to correct the issues. Please try again tomorrow, we thank you for your patience!

  165. TWILK March 18, 2014 at 10:49 am #

Quicken loans says that the send you a verification email to complete the registration. However, despite mulitiple attempts, I still have not received any such email. Can anyone please shed some light on this/ Or has anyone had similar difficulty?

  166. Brenda March 18, 2014 at 11:09 am #

I have registered and am trying to enter my brackett picks but it goes to a Quick Start Guide and won’t close. What’s going on?

  167. boogietoone March 18, 2014 at 11:13 am #

The NCAA has announced that any betting on the NCAA basketball tournament is illegal. How then can Yahoo, Quicken Loans and Bershire Hathaway take part in this without fear of legal action? Do you hope to get around this due to the fact that no “contestant” is required to bet any money of their own? I can see tons of lawyers and lawsuits if anyone actually won this.

  168. Daniel March 18, 2014 at 11:42 am #

Yo Victoria, it’s me again I did every thing you said but my problem is that it keeps telling me my phone number is not a valid phone number. It’s the only phone number I have. This happens at the verification screen.

  169. Victoria Araj March 18, 2014 at 12:07 pm #

HI Twilk, I’ll send you a direct email. Thanks.

  170. Victoria Araj March 18, 2014 at 12:08 pm #

Hi Brenda, I will send you a direct email to find out more so we can help. Thanks.

  171. Victoria Araj March 18, 2014 at 12:09 pm #

Thanks for your feedback, however this is not gambling and no one has to pay to enter. Good luck in the challenge if you decide to enter!

  172. Victoria Araj March 18, 2014 at 12:10 pm #

Daniel, for clarification, does it say it’s invalid or that it’s already been used?

  175. Daniel March 18, 2014 at 2:06 pm #

It said my phone number is not a valid phone number. I put my landline phone number in where it says mobile phone number then I put “call me” and it keeps telling me that my phone number is not a valid phone number.

  176. James March 18, 2014 at 2:10 pm #

I am not receiving a confirmation email as requested. I have changed email accounts but still have not received a confirmation email to continue registration.

I am also having the same issue with the phone number already being “entered”. It’s not allowing me to do anything. I could use some assistance on this as well!

  179. Anthony March 18, 2014 at 3:01 pm #

  181. John Ry March 18, 2014 at 3:33 pm #

I have tried twice to register for the billion dollar challenge. I get to the point where I need to enter the 5 digit verification code, but the code never comes through. Have I done something wrong or is there another problem?

  182. Victoria Araj March 18, 2014 at 3:55 pm #

Hi Nan, I sent you a direct email to see how I can help. Thanks.

  183. Victoria Araj March 18, 2014 at 3:56 pm #

  186. TracieB March 18, 2014 at 4:11 pm #

How do I know my picks were entered in the contest? Seems like I need to submit it. Is it automatically entered after I complete and save?

  187. Daniel March 18, 2014 at 4:11 pm #

Victoria, The E-Mail you sent me was the same E-Mail you sent me before. I did all this 1.Visit http://www.QuickenLoansBracket.com to register for the Quicken Loans Billion $ Bracket Challenge.
But I click call me (number 7 on the list) underneath my phone number pops up a message that reads this is not a valid phone number. It doesn’t read this number is already used.

  188. Victoria Araj March 18, 2014 at 4:15 pm #

    Hi Tracie,
Once you successfully “Save” your completed bracket, your picks will remain in place until the official close of the contest at 1:00 a.m. EDT on Thursday, March 20, 2014. If that is your final bracket, you do not need to do anything else. It will be submitted as your official entry upon close of the contest.

  189. Victoria Araj March 18, 2014 at 4:18 pm #

Daniel, I’m sorry it’s not working, but you need to have either a mobile phone or landline, I’ll send you an email.

  190. Tom M March 18, 2014 at 4:54 pm #

    “Victoria Araj March 17, 2014 at 3:52 pm #

    9.Click Submit code.”

There was another step after this. When you enter the code and submit, it triggered an email to your Yahoo account. You will need to open that email and verify with that. I was able to do this with my current Yahoo account and did NOT have to create a new one. Just remove any phone numbers that may be present in the mobile box and click “add another”, then enter your land line info and wait for the call. It’s automated and you can let it go to an answering machine if need be.

  191. Victoria Araj March 18, 2014 at 4:57 pm #

    Thanks for the tip, Tom!

Hi Kim, I’m sorry you are having technical difficulties. I’ve sent you a direct email. Thanks.

  202. Victoria Araj March 19, 2014 at 12:01 am #

Hi Rich, Yahoo Sports is aware of the technical difficulties and is working to resolve the issue. In the meantime, if you could please try registering by using another browser or different device, some folks have found success with that. I thank you for your patience!

  203. Mike March 19, 2014 at 12:21 am #

I received the text with my verification code, then I entered it. Yahoo e-mailed me about the mobile phone # being registered, but I never received my Quicken Loans Registration Form. What do I need to do?

  204. Victoria Araj March 19, 2014 at 12:23 am #

Hi Mike, please visit http://www.quickenloansbracket.com to enter. If you are on a desktop and experiencing issues, please try on a different browser or perhaps a different device, as some people have found that has worked for them. Thanks.

  205. Mike March 19, 2014 at 12:31 am #

I tried it with a different browser and got the same results. The same results on my smartphone.

  206. Dave S. March 19, 2014 at 12:51 am #

Victoria, you’ve been doing a great job trying to keep people happy. But hope Quicken Loans know this promotion has been a disaster and reflects negatively on Quicken Loans and Yahoo. I’ve tried for two days to complete a bracket and can’t. Site still says that I’m supposed to verify my e-mail via an e-mail. I’ve done that several times and still can’t move forward with completing a bracket. I’ve completed brackets with all the other various sites today with ease. Yahoo has really messed this up.

  207. Victoria Araj March 19, 2014 at 1:01 am #

Thank you Dave, I understand the frustration with the technical issues but Yahoo Sports is working on a fix and I hope you’ll try to enter again soon. Thank you for your feedback and patience!

  215. Geoff March 19, 2014 at 10:32 am #

Gimmick! Registration gets you to the point where they get your home address and email address and then the server craps out. Great marketing scheme Buffet! I can’t wait to get mail bombed by these ‘Yahoo’s’

  216. Colin March 19, 2014 at 11:09 am #

I too am getting the number was already used. I then deleted my number and got a new verification code. When I use the link i am then given an error that says phone must be validated but I can not find the validation screen.

  217. Faye Wells March 19, 2014 at 11:18 am #

I have the same problem…”Your number has been entered.” Cannot fill out the bracket. Have been trying for days. Even call Yahoo rep. She had me re-register. Was not even aware of the problem. Someone could end up in the “Law Suit of the Century” over this!!!!! As a retired Office Manager of 41 years, ( the last 21 with the Federal Government), this is beyond unbelievable!!!!!!

  218. Colin March 19, 2014 at 11:28 am #

  234. Victoria Araj March 19, 2014 at 4:07 pm #

Hi Ron, When you are finished making your selections, click “Save Bracket” to submit your bracket. Your bracket will auto submit on March 20, 2014, at 1:00 a.m. EDT. You will not be able to make changes after this time. You can only make changes and save your bracket during the period of March 16, 2014, through March 20, 2014, by 1:00 a.m. EDT. Thanks!

If I won a billion dollars, I’d find Mel.

  236. Charles Ehmke March 19, 2014 at 5:16 pm #

I was not allowed to update a landline number in Yahoo security. I’m pretty sure I have the winning bracket picks. :)

  237. Chris Lipa March 19, 2014 at 5:18 pm #

I get the message “The phone number you verified has already been used to enter the challenge.” Please help?

Your land line instructions on https://help.yahoo.com/kb/tourney-pickem/SLN23346.html?impressions=true does not work.

Phone number field says “Mobile Number” on Update password-reset info page and there is no way to chose land number!

    What a bummer?

  241. Victoria Araj March 19, 2014 at 6:05 pm #

Hi Joseph, I just sent you an email with the steps, please check your inbox. Thanks,

  242. Joe Briggs March 19, 2014 at 6:07 pm #

Hello – I am also receiving the “Your phone number has already been entered. ” graphic message when attempting to enter a bracket. I registered earlier this month.

What happens to all of us who registered if this problem isn’t fixed before the deadline? I did set up my picks in a pool – will those work?

  243. Victoria Araj March 19, 2014 at 6:13 pm #

Hi Joe, I just sent you a private email to learn more about the issue. Thanks.

  244. Jared March 19, 2014 at 6:50 pm #

  247. Victoria Araj March 19, 2014 at 8:26 pm #

Got it Jared, I’ll email you!

  248. Stephanie March 19, 2014 at 9:21 pm #

I’m having the same issue “your phone number has already been entered”, even though I haven’t filled out my bracket and earlier today it wouldn’t let me through the site after I entered my verification # from my phone… help!

  249. Victoria Araj March 19, 2014 at 9:25 pm #

Hi Stephanie, I understand and have sent you an email directly. Thanks.

  250. David March 19, 2014 at 9:48 pm #

  251. Victoria Araj March 19, 2014 at 9:54 pm #

Hi David, I have sent you a direct email with steps to help, thanks!

  252. GK March 19, 2014 at 9:59 pm #

I have been trying to save my brackets ALL DAY, and the son-of-a-bitching software won’t let me save it. It gives a message of “Do you want to navigate away…. Your bracket picks aren’t saved…” Then, it loses my picks. I am not a novice. I am an IT Developer/Programmer, so I didn’t just fall off the turnip truck yesteday.

This is a joke. I now will not enter this stupid challenge (no one will win, anyway), because I am sick of dealing with software that does not work.

So, I don’t want to hear any of you complaining about the Healthcare software not working. Yours takes the cake. This is not rocket science; this a very simple application.

  253. Victoria Araj March 19, 2014 at 10:21 pm #

Hi GK, I understand your frustration, but have you tried a different browser or device? That seems to be doing the trick for many people, I’ve also sent you an email. Thanks for your patience.

  254. John March 19, 2014 at 10:53 pm #

I registered and am being told that the phone entered has already been used? what can we do??

  255. Victoria Araj March 19, 2014 at 10:57 pm #

Hi John, please try a different browser or device, I have also sent you a direct email, thanks.

  256. John Egan March 19, 2014 at 11:12 pm #

Help, you didn’t call me with my 5 digit code, so I could win the $Billion. My phone doesn’t receive text messages if that’s how you send it as the screen is dead. Please send one to my email address
    post haste.
    Thanks John

  257. Victoria Araj March 19, 2014 at 11:19 pm #

Hi John, if you can’t accept texts on your phone, you can enter with a landline, I’ve emailed you the steps to do that. Thanks!

  258. Summie White March 19, 2014 at 11:33 pm #

Verify your email to complete registration.

Click the link we sent to: sumcam2@aol.com.

The above showed up but how do I verify my email?

  259. Victoria Araj March 19, 2014 at 11:43 pm #

Hi Summie, please check your aol account and click on the link in the email Yahoo Sports sent you, thanks and good luck!

  260. jeff March 20, 2014 at 12:25 am #

This has been nothing but a fiasco trying to enter this contest. Its impossible. I am going to speak to our attorney general about this. This is nothing but a scam to collect your cell phone number so they can sell it to telemarketers.

  261. John Anderson March 20, 2014 at 12:25 am #

With less than 40 minutes left to pick a bracket, I still haven’t received a link at my e-mail!!! Been trying for more than an hour!!!

  262. John Anderson March 20, 2014 at 12:35 am #

Obviously, you don’t have anyone working the contest website right now! The deadline should have been when your techs decided to call it a day, and went home! WORST contest attempt ever!!! #*!#%&^#*^!!!

  263. Victoria Araj March 20, 2014 at 1:01 am #

Hi Jeff, I assure you this is not a scam and I understand your frustration with the site. Please try a different browser or device and that should work. Thanks and good luck!

  264. Martin Stone March 20, 2014 at 8:17 am #

The above script says if you didn’t get to enter check back for the latest results. Why would I check back if I didn’t get to enter.

  265. a carter March 20, 2014 at 10:42 am #

Ok, I am pissed. You took my information then your system did not allow me to enter the bracket challenge. Is this how your loans work out too? I want my personal information back. A contract (which this is) is I do my part and you do yours. So get my frickin info off your system and notify me when you have done it.

  266. lisa March 20, 2014 at 11:38 am #

I am trying to view my pool and bracket i filled out and don’t know where to go to do that. Please advise.

  267. Patrick March 20, 2014 at 11:44 am #

Look likes I’m going to win the billon dollar bracket because I have Duke going all the way!!!!!

  268. Maria March 20, 2014 at 1:18 pm #

How does one know if you’re bracket was accepted? Is Yahoo, sending confirmation emails? Just wondering. If I won, I’d clear my debts, help my church, family, close, true friends, save some for my Granchildren’s college education, invest some of the money, and go to Disneyland!!! Good Luck everyone!! May God’s Abundance overflow your way! Love you all!!

  269. Victoria Araj March 20, 2014 at 2:22 pm #

Hi Martin, I’m sorry that you didn’t have a chance to enter before the 1 a.m. deadline.

  270. Buzz March 20, 2014 at 2:44 pm #

I waited and waited for email verification link. Did everything correctly. What a farce. How would u like to do well in picking and end up being left out because of a website issue.

  271. Victoria Araj March 20, 2014 at 4:25 pm #

Hi A, I’m sorry you did not have a positive experience, I have sent you a direct email. Thanks.

  272. Victoria Araj March 20, 2014 at 5:09 pm #

HI Lisa, you should be able to see your bracket under “My Brackets and Pools” when you are logged into your Yahoo account. Thanks.

  273. Victoria Araj March 20, 2014 at 5:29 pm #

Hi Buzz, I am sorry you did not have a chance to enter the bracket challenge, I have sent you an email.

  274. ad March 24, 2014 at 3:29 pm #

There are double entries in the billion dollar challenge… we were only suppose to submit one entry per person or household, how is it that on the leaderboard there are multiple entries and they are not disqualified…I wonder how many are out there that we can’t see…….???????????

  275. AD March 24, 2014 at 4:22 pm #

Dennis,s definitive bracket (name) has two entries with different Nat’l champion picks on the leaderboard this should be an automatic disqualification….

  276. Victoria Araj March 24, 2014 at 4:58 pm #

Hi, Thanks for your feedback, I just pulled the leaderboard and do not see any duplicates. The leaderboard is updated regularly and will continue to change. If you still see the same thing on your screen, please hit refresh a couple of times. I took a screen shot of the most recent leaderboard and no one named Dennis is on there.

I would donate all the money to rescue shelter dogs and prevent them from being destroyed. When I retire in 15 months, it is what I am going to donate my life to doing.

  278. ms.Bettie March 31, 2014 at 7:59 pm #

Hey! how many you are still in for the $100.000

  279. Matt April 2, 2014 at 6:51 pm #

Will a total of a 150 points rank in the top 20 in the billion dollar bracket if UK wins it all?

  280. Bob April 3, 2014 at 12:34 pm #

How many people still have a chance of being in the top 20 to win the $100,000? Do you know what the projected point total cutoff will be?

  281. Fred April 10, 2014 at 10:01 am #

I submitted my bracket in a timely manner and select and saved 46 correct games but the bracket system changed my teams and gave me only 39 correct winners. I have my printed copy to prove that I have 46 correct picks.

I need answers to this mishap!

  282. Victoria Araj April 14, 2014 at 2:01 pm #

    Hi Fred,
The Top 20 First Prize Winners are based on the data that has been captured and provided by Yahoo Sports. Our Official Rules do not allow for screen shots, printouts or other proof or evidence of entry or winning (see Section 3(f) for additional details). Thanks for participating!
