From the electrical systems and fit and finish of the server cabinets, to the color and length of the cabling, everything is customized to meet the specific needs of the team managing the Technology Center. In addition, the facility features: Indirect air conditioning units (IACU) employing large heat wheels to cool the servers without actually bringing outside air into the room. No water is used to cool the facility. Uninterrupted power supply (UPS) units featuring the first deployment of the 750kva units in the U.S. These systems are backed up by 2.5 megawatt generators. LED illuminated server rooms. Biometric readers, facial scanners and a snow melt system in the rear utility yard. The facility’s office areas were created by dPop, the Detroit-based design firm, to give the Technology Center a high-tech, but fun and productive atmosphere.
