Quicken Loans’ “Paint Your Way to Dover” Contest Puts Fans in the Driver’s Seat by Selecting Ryan Newman’s Paint Scheme August 11, 2014 – Car design to appear on-track in Dover; Charities to benefit from voting – DETROIT, August 11, 2014 – The Quicken Loans “Paint Your Way to Dover” contest is giving race fans the power to select NASCAR driver Ryan Newman’s No. 31 Quicken Loans Chevrolet paint scheme for the upcoming Sprint Cup Series race at Dover International Speedway on September 28, 2014. Starting today, fans can visit QLRacing.com to cast their vote for one of three paint schemes that were selected from a pool of nearly 1,000 designs submitted by fans nationwide: The entrant whose design receives the most votes will win a trip to Dover, Delaware to see their custom paint scheme on track as Newman attempts to tame the “Monster Mile” in September. If Newman finishes first at Dover, the grand prize winner will also receive a prize of one year’s worth of mortgage payments.“NASCAR fans are among the most passionate and loyal of any sport, and this passion definitely shines through in all the car designs they sent us,” said Jay Farner, Quicken Loans President and Chief Marketing Officer. “I can’t think of a better way to reward one creative and lucky fan than to send them to see their own work of art dominate the Monster Mile, one of NASCAR’s most unique tracks.” As part of the Paint Your Way to Dover contest, Quicken Loans has also partnered with three charities – Autism Speaks, Folds of Honor and the Childress Institute for Pediatric Trauma – to also take part in the contest. Along with selecting their favorite design, fans visiting QLRacing.com will also be able to select one of the three charities. The nonprofit with the highest vote count will then receive a $10,000 donation from Quicken Loans and the remaining charities will each be awarded $2,500. “Quicken Loans is proud to partner with three charities that are doing amazing work and have such a profound impact on the people they serve,” said Farner. “While it’s fun to pick a paint scheme, I’d like to ask all fans to focus on learning about the important causes these organizations serve and to vote for the one that they feel most connected to.” The deadline to vote for the car design and charity is August 24, 2014. Fans may visit QLRacing.com and are allowed one vote for their favorite design and charity each day. The winning design and charity will be announced on August 25, 2014. To be eligible to vote in the Quicken Loans Paint Your Way to Dover contest, voters must be 18 years of age and a U.S. citizen. ###About Quicken Loans Detroit-based Quicken Loans Inc. is the nation’s second largest retail home mortgage lender.
