Rickie Fowler

Despite coming up one stroke short of forcing a playoff in an attempt to win the first major championship of his career, Rocket Mortgage golfer Rickie Fowler had a weekend to remember.

After carding a bogey-free, 7-under-par 65 in Saturday’s round – which included an eagle at the par-5 second hole – Rickie fired a closing round 5-under-par 67. Entering the final round five shots out of the lead, he needed a low score to put pressure on the leader. A bogey at the par-4 fifth hole didn’t provide the fast start Rickie was hoping for; although, that was the only blemish on his scorecard for the day.

He closed with birdies on six of his final 11 holes, resulting in a second-place showing.

Congrats on the great week, Rickie! We can’t wait to see what the rest of the 2018 season brings.
