Quicken Loans, the second largest mortgage lender in the U.S., was named #1 in the nation for client satisfaction in mortgage origination in the nation by J.D. Power, leading a group that included more than 50,000 mortgage originators. This is the eighth consecutive year that Quicken Loans has earned the top ranking based on client feedback conducted by the independent researchers at J.D. Power.

Earlier this year, J.D. Power also named Quicken Loans the #1 mortgage servicer in client satisfaction for the fourth straight time. This means Quicken Loans has 12 #1 rankings from J.D. Power, the most of any mortgage lender in the report’s history.

Quicken Loans Founder and Chairman Dan Gilbert said the key to the company’s success has been always putting the client first.

“Our company is defined by our obsessive commitment to client service,” Gilbert said. “Every inch matters to us. Every second counts to all of our team members who are singularly focused on delivering our clients the best experience they could possibly imagine when closing on what typically is the biggest financial transaction in their lifetimes.”

Contributing to the company’s #1 ranking was the fact that Quicken Loans finished on top in nearly every category J.D. Power measured. These factors include:

  • Loan offerings
  • Website satisfaction
  • Application/approvals process
  • Loan closing
  • Client onboarding

The J.D. Power study showed that 94% of clients surveyed said Quicken Loans team members always called back when promised, beating an industry average of 88%. In addition, 90% of Quicken Loans clients who took the survey said they were given status updates throughout the entire mortgage origination process from application to closing.

Quicken Loans CEO Jay Farner said that the survey results are a reflection of the company’s commitment to client service as well as pushing the way mortgages are originated into the future.
