  4. Paperless 1098 Tax Statements Now Available at Quicken Loans
Woman looking at her laptop while drinking coffee

As of December 19, 2017, MyQL is now referred to as Rocket Mortgage.

UPDATE: If you send your mortgage payments to Quicken Loans, your 1098 Tax Statements are officially available on MyQL.com! Maybe you saw the email? Whether you signed up for paperless statements (read this blog and see the reasons that all the cool kids go paperless) or we mailed your statement, you can still go to your MyQL account to view your 1098 statement anytime. We like to cover all the bases!

When I moved into my current home, I wasn’t what you’d call “careful” when packing. My son was only about 8 months old, things were hectic and I just wanted to get out of the house I was renting. I kept most things together like all the articles tell you to, organizing boxes by room and by item, but as it got closer to the actual move-in day, I was done. I just started throwing things in boxes.

You can imagine how well this went when I went to unpack. It didn’t go well at all. In fact, I wound up misplacing some documents I needed for tax season and actually had to file a deferment in order to buy some time until I could find the right paperwork. You can bet your sweet peas that as soon as I got that all squared away, I signed up for all of my documents to be paperless and I haven’t had a problem since.

That’s why I think it’s such a great idea that we’re now offering the opportunity for our clients to sign up for 1098 paperless tax statements through MyQL. Besides all the obvious reasons for going green, they’re a lot more convenient, secure and it’s completely free to sign up.

Benefits of Going Paperless

Some people I’ve talked to have said “but what if I need a paper copy? Then I’ll have to go through the hassle of getting a copy mailed to me.” Not so, my friends. paper copies printed at home have the same legal standing as ones provided in the mail.

Even better? Your documents are saved online  in our virtual filing cabinet that you can access anywhere and any time as long as you’re able to get online.

Additionally, keeping your statements online is a lot more secure than storing paper copies at home. Did you know that at least 85% of identity theft cases happen as a result of stolen paper statements? Why put yourself into a potentially horrible situation if you can avoid it? Your personal and financial information will be protected by our secure and amazing online technology.

At this point, I can’t imagine getting more stuff in the mail that I could lose. In this case, I’m reminded of a Kenny Rogers song, “Coward of the County.”

“Promise me, son, not to do the things I’ve done…sign up for paperless statements if you can. It won’t mean you’re weak if you sign up to take a peek. I hope you’re old enough to understand. Son, don’t lose your paperwork for the man.”

Ok, maybe that’s not how the song goes, but the sentiment is there. Signing up for paperless tax statements is the way to go! Sign up on MyQL.com today!

I’m going to get this to our client relations team so they can make sure we get you your documentation. I do want to note that we are experiencing a higher than normal volume of communications due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation. You should be able to get your 1098 online by going to the documents tab of your Rocket Mortgage Servicing Account. Have a great day!

    1. Hi Teresia:

You can get a copy of it by logging into your Rocket Account under the documents tab. That link should get you directly to it after you sign in. I’m going to have someone reach out to see if we can get you taken care of as soon as possible as well just in case you have trouble.

You should never put your loan number in a public comments section. I’m removing it for you. I will get this over to our Client Relations team so we can make sure you’re taken care of. One thing I will tell you is that you can get access to your 1098 online through your Rocket Account documents section. I’m going to have someone reach out and make sure you don’t have any further trouble.

    1. Hi Debra:

Your 1098 is available if you sign into your Rocket Account here. If you haven’t signed in online in a while, the credentials are the same as your existing MyQL account. We’ve just rebranded. If you have any trouble, you can give our servicing team a call at (800) 508-0944. Have a great day!
