Learn How to Improve Your Home with House Hacks - Quicken Loans Zing Blog

As of June 25, 2018, we’ve made some changes to the way our mortgage approvals work. You can read more about our Power Buyer ProcessTM.

I spent 20 minutes playing a game this morning, and I wasn’t even procrastinating. No, really – I promise.

We’re always looking for new tips to help improve things around your home or save you money, so when our friends at Protect America came out with the interactive game “House Hacks,” we knew we had to share it with you.

As you work your way through the game’s 22 hacks, you’ll receive tips from experts on everything from protecting your walls from damage caused by carelessly flung open doors to a recipe for that awesome party you’re planning.

I don’t want to be a total tease, though. How about just one tip to whet your appetite? Our very own Victoria Araj is quoted in the game talking about how you may be able to speed up your mortgage process by utilizing online technology.

We don’t mean to brag (OK, maybe a little), but Rocket Mortgage enables you to get a full approval to refinance or a preapproval to buy a house in just minutes. It’s extremely powerful and will show you mortgage solutions that you can customize to meet your needs. Best of all, the whole process takes place online.

But enough about mortgage stuff. How can you make that annoying paint smell a little sweeter? What simple change can make your bedroom look bigger? How can a little paint spruce up your home’s curb appeal? You’ll have to play the game to find out.

Check out “House Hacks” from Protect America. If you like what you see, go ahead and share with your friends. Maybe you’ll have a little fun in the process.
