It’s time to register for the Quicken Loans Billion Dollar Bracket Challenge with Yahoo! Sports for a chance to win a billion dollars.

Yup, the time has come. To help celebrate what is perhaps the biggest contest in U.S. history, we’ve done what we’re supposed to do – create an infographic.

So here it is. An infographic with some great tips to help pick a perfect bracket in the 2014 men’s college basketball tournament. Trust us. These are tips that will help you in your quest for perfection – and a billion dollars!

My favorites?

  • 23 out of 24 national champions have been seeded #3 or higher.
  • In the last 14 years, teams seeded #14 or higher have only won 7 times total.
  • At least one #12 seed has beaten a #5 seed 22 out of the last 24 years. Weird.
  • Ken Pomeroy has a formula that I don’t understand but it looks cool and supposedly helps you pick a winner.

Good luck picking a perfect bracket. If this infographic helps you win the big prize, remember me, please. And as always, I’ll end this with my regular plea for some feedback. What do you think? Love the infographic? Hate it? Don’t care? Tell me!

What I picked that is missing and didn’t save is below. I can provide you with my login if that helps. The account is my wife’s yahoo. Please HELP!

    1. HI Paul, all changes to your bracket would have had to be made by 1 a.m. ET on March 20. I apologize for any inconvenience.

    1. Hi Leo, You can view your bracket by visiting (logging in if not already) and then click on your bracket name.

  2. Victoria Araj, she works hard for the money…….so hard for it honey……..she works hard for the money so you beetttttterr treat her right……Quicken Loans. Raise…I think yeah.

  3. When I completed the bracket, it says 63 of 63 picks made and I clicked on Save Bracket and it seemed to save it, but I am unable to submit my picks. Can you please help me.

  4. So I get the email that says thanks for registering and I go to the set your brackets and it redirects me to the register websitre

    1. Hi Kevin, please try another browser or device and it should do the trick. I’ve also sent you an email. Thanks and good luck!

  5. I have filled out my bracket four times last night, picked 63 of 63 games, hit “save”, and everything then reverts to zeroes: “Thanks for registering, noow you can make your picks” – aaaaaaaaagh! Now I try to send a message and get an error message from WordPress – “you are submitting your comments too fast” How do I make them slower? Help!

  6. When I registered, my welcome email said “thanks for registering Kailyn”. I have no idea where the site got Kailyn from or if it’s really me that is registered.

    1. Hi Reginald, not sure what happened there, if you log into your Yahoo account you should be able to see that you successfully registered.

  7. I got the same thing that “Mules” was getting

Your phone number has already been entered.

Don’t worry, you can still play Tourney Pick’em for bragging rights.

to which you responded “Yahoo Sports is aware of the issue and is working to correct it, we thank you for your patience and will communicate once this is resolved”

so what if it’s not “resolved” before the deadline???? Guess that means I just out of luck if there’s no other way to submit my picks.

    1. Hi, I just sent you a private email, you might want to try to enter on a different device or browser until a fix has been made, thank you for your patience!

    1. Hi Berry,
Once you successfully “Save” your completed bracket, your picks will remain in place until the official close of the contest at 1:00 a.m. EDT on Thursday, March 20, 2014. If that is your final bracket, you do not need to do anything else. It will be submitted as your official entry upon close of the contest.

    1. Hi, are you having an issue registering for the bracket? Yahoo Sports is looking into all questions on an individual basis, can you tell me more about what you are experiencing?

  8. Your heavily sponsored website for the Billion Dollar Bracket Challenge on Yahoo will cause Quicken Loans massive loss of business through distrust and apparent false pretenses by obtaining personal email, phone numbers and other information. The message, “Your phone number has already been entered” proves a major glitch in the site or a breach in the database exists. I received this message even after receiving a text message for a verification code number to enter the contest.

Rest assured, I won’t be choosing Quicken Loans as my next mortgager.

    Good Luck.

    1. HI Mules, thanks for your message, however, this is not a scam or a breach of data. Yahoo Sports is aware of the issue and is working to correct it, we thank you for your patience and will communicate once this is resolved. Thank you!
