When you purchase a Big Head of Warren Buffett’s smiling face from Fathead, 100% of the profits will go to Detroit charities Money Matters for Youth and Motor City Blight Busters.
While on a promotional tour with Buffett for the Quicken Loans Billion Dollar Bracket Challenge with Yahoo Sports, Quicken Loans Chairman Dan Gilbert had custom Big Heads made for Buffett and Seth Meyers, host of Late Night with Seth Meyers.
The Big Head (seen here) has made its way onto CNBC’s Squawk Box and NBC’s Late Night with Seth Meyers where it gained national attention from TV audiences. Meyers really enjoyed the Big Heads. Holding up both his and Buffett’s Big Heads, Seth Meyers announced that “I don’t really know that much about what kids are in to, but I think these are going to be very popular Fatheads.”
After the Buffett Big Head appeared on TV, the Fathead phone lines lit up with customers asking for the “big, smiling, ‘Buffett Big Head.’” It was then that both Gilbert and Buffett decided that the Big Head should be sold and used to generate money for those who need it.
As previously stated, 100% of the profits from the Buffett Big Head will go to two awesome Detroit non-profits: Money Matters for Youth and Motor City Blight Busters. Money Matters for Youth is a community organization that introduces young people to economics, budgeting, investing and entrepreneurship. Motor City Blight Busters has been improving Detroit’s neighborhoods for the past 26 years by demolishing blighted houses, securing abandoned buildings, and renovating suitable housing.
