Treasuries have spiked after a short lull in light of a European financial ministry withholding of Greece’s rescue page. Although treasuries rose, early morning reports indicate that the 10-year note plummeted 7 basis points to 1.97% overnight.
The week’s economic releases will wrap up today, following the University of Michigan Confidence report and a housing market rundown by Chairman Bernanke at 12:50 PM.
What’s Up on Wall Street?
For a change, it was another moderately positive day on Wall Street with all three major indexes seeing gains at the end of the day. The Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 6.51 points (0.05 percent), and the S&P 500 added 1.99 points (0.15 percent). The biggest winner of the day was the Nasdaq Composite, which jumped 11.37 points (0.39 percent).
