Quicken Loans was just named the #1 company on Workplace Dynamic’s “National Top 150 Workplaces” list. I’m not really that surprised. I’ve been here over seven years now and I keep finding new reasons to love my career.
We’re #13 for 10. That’s right. For the 10th year in a row, Quicken Loans is on FORTUNE magazine’s “100 Best Companies to Work For” list. In fact, we’ve been in the top 30 each of those 10 years. I hate to brag, but you know, when you got it, you got it. Yo.
While all of the above perks are GREAT, I think the best parts about working at Quicken Loans are the people and the atmosphere. People around here are full of energy and great ideas, things needed for the fast-paced environment Quicken Loans offers.
t the beginning of 2009, the National Guard notified my unit that we would be deployed to Iraq later in the fall. I was okay with going overseas, but I had no idea how much I would miss the city. When I left my apartment I was devastated. I had grown to love my view of the city and felt so sad thinking about being gone for a year.
I think it’s so important to not only be socially and physically aware of our surroundings and situations, but also of global issues in the world. These two ISMs remind me that I need to engage in the world I’m living in by always having my eyes open and my ears perked up.
