Stiggy’s Dogs – Man’s Best Friend Helping America’s Heroes

My friends Joe and Jennifer Petre have started an organization called Stiggy’s Dogs as a way to honor their nephew HM3 Benjamin Phillip “Doc Stiggy” Castiglione who “gave his life working as a Corpsman in Helmand Province, Southern Afghanistan.” Stiggy’s Dogs helps support veterans suffering from PTSD and traumatic brain injury by pairing a service member with a psychiatric service dog.
Veterans – Detroit Is Open for Business!

The City of Detroit, the Detroit Metro Convention & Visitors Bureau and the Department of Veterans Affairs announced that the National Veteran Small Business Conference and Expo is coming to Detroit’s Cobo Center on June 25-29. This is exciting news for our fair city, and for the many, many veterans and service members in the area. In addition to the conference, the “VA for Vets” Hiring Fair will be held during the conference for veterans looking for careers in the public and private sectors.
