Along with 95,000-100,000 spectators, I spent much of last weekend at Belle Isle enjoying the Chevy Indy Dual in Detroit presented by Quicken Loans. As much fun as my weekend was, Scott Bierwirth’s weekend was a little better.
From the smell of the fuel to the sights and sounds of the car as they whizzed past me on the ever-so-entertaining turn three, the Detroit Grand Prixexperience was something that I will never forget.
An estimated 95,000-100,000 fans made their way out to Belle Isle over the weekend for the Chevrolet Indy Dual in Detroit presented by Quicken Loans. Fans were treated to a historic weekend, as the dual event featured two championship point races (one Saturday, one Sunday) instead of the customary one.
