It appears the markets are more interested in the Employment Situation Report than the government shutdown. However, the Employment Report will not be released today, due to the shutdown. That put more emphasis on the ISM Data that had both stocks and bonds moving lower.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average increased 15.39 points (0.10%) while the Nasdaq jumped 18.31 points (0.49%). Also, the S&P 500 rose 3.88 points (0.24%).
