Sign of Progress This Weekend in Fiscal Cliff Negotiations – Market Update

There was some sign of progress this weekend in fiscal cliff negotiations. House Speaker John Boehner made an offer to President Obama to raise tax rates on those making at least $1 million.

What’s up on Wall Street?
The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 69.53 points (+0.53%) while the Nasdaq also went up 13.29 points (+0.45%). The S&P 500 increased 9.21 points (+0.65%).

30-Year Fixed Mortgage Rate: 3.375% (3.576% APR)
15-Year Fixed Mortgage Rate: 2.625% (3.018% APR)
7-Year ARM: 2.50% (3.063% APR)
