It’s imperative that we continue to honor those service men and women who lived and died on Pearl Harbor Day, through stories or history lessons. We cannot forget all that they did, and it’s through their stories and their experiences they will continue to live on. As poet and essayist George Santayana said: “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.”
Some people write cards.
Others send flowers.
I usually just give a solid high five.
Some decide to remix a funk song from the ’70s and record themselves singing it in appreciation for a stellar job fair.
We were pleasantly surprised the other day when we got an email containing a video from Wade, a gentleman who visited a job fair that we hosted a couple weeks back.
We were even more surprised when we watched the video to see Wade performing his own rendition of “I Want to Thank You” by Sly and the Family Stone.
Wade – we want to thank you for your creativity and for putting a smile on all of our faces. Don’t be surprised if you see a response video coming your way in the near future…
And congrats on your new position here at Quicken Loans!
