Today, the 2012 DTE Energy MVP Awards benefiting Think Detroit PAL will take place at the Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA)!
The cocktail reception, in the DIA Romanesque Gallery, will be held at 5:30 p.m. A seated dinner and the awards ceremony will immediately follow.
Think Detroit PAL, voted best run nonprofit by Crain’s Detroit Business, aims to build character in young people through sports.
As a former member of several basketball, football, and track teams in the PAL league, I can attest that PAL programs provide a great platform for youths to excel in organized sports.
The PAL league helps more than 12,000 children annually from ages 4–19 learn teamwork, responsibility, and mental toughness while promoting a healthy lifestyle.
While the PAL league helps many inner city youths annually, the league relies heavily on the community and private donors for funds, equipment, and volunteer help.
Quicken Loans has been a proud supporter of Think Detroit PAL since 2006.
If you would like to help the thousands of youths that benefit from PAL leagues, purchase a ticket to tonight’s MVP award ceremony or contact Ann Serra at (313) 833-1600 or annserra@thinkdetroitpal.org to get further details about sponsorship opportunities.
