It’s hard to believe Thanksgiving is less than a week away!
While we’re all looking forward to family time and good food, we have another reason to be thankful – America’s Thanksgiving Parade® in Detroit!
We’ve got great news to share – you don’t have to wait a week for all of the magic of the holiday season to begin. We’re inviting everyone to come downtown on Monday, November 19, at noon for the unveiling of our very own Quicken Loans/Rock Ventures float!
Join Jay Farner, president and CMO of Quicken Loans, Tony Michaels, CEO of the Parade Company, Paul W. Smith from News/Talk 760 WJR, and the All City Marching Band, in the Compuware Building’s front plaza (between the building and Campus Martius Park). Get up close and personal with the float before it makes its live TV debut Thanksgiving morning!
In the past, our team members have escorted the Clownie balloon down Woodward Avenue, but for the first time, we’re sponsoring our own float, which portrays the theme “What If.”
You’ll find bright colors, whimsical characters, and plenty of imagination. The float represents 6,500 Quicken Loans & Rock Ventures team members thinking, creating, building and playing in downtown Detroit – committed to developing a dynamic, high-tech urban core, or as we call it, “Opportunity Detroit.”
The concept for the float was developed by the Quicken Loans Creative team in conjunction with the Parade Company, and 24 costumed team members will be dancing alongside the float during the parade.
We’re excited to be a part of this long-standing Detroit tradition and look forward to seeing you at the unveiling!
If you can’t make it, check back here at noon ET to watch it live!
