Quicken Loans Racing is excited to announce we will be running the #39 Chevrolet with a very special paint scheme in honor of the men and women of the Armed Forces for this weekend’s AdvoCare 500 Veterans Day race in Arizona.
This year, we’ve partnered with the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA) to get photos of nearly 150 veterans who will be featured on a special red, white and blue car. The back of the car also delivers a very special message: Home of the Free BECAUSE of the Brave. A simple phrase that means so much to so many.
We’re proud to be a part of such a great race that takes time to celebrate Veterans Day and thank those who have so bravely served our country. And while our driver, Ryan Newman, is in 12th place in the Chase for the Sprint Cup and has been mathematically eliminated from championship contention, he would like nothing more than to get into Victory Lane to honor the 150 veterans who will be featured on the car, and the millions of others across the country and world.
We’re extremely proud to be partnered with IAVA for this race. Founded in 2004, IAVA is a modern organization dedicated to supporting the nearly 2.6 million veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan. By providing new veterans and their families with access to health, education, employment and community assistance, they remain one of those most proactive and helpful organizations in the military community.
Be sure to join us in honor of our nation’s veterans for the Advocare 500 race on Sunday, November 10, at 3 p.m. ET on ESPN, and check out our really amazing car featuring the faces of those who have so bravely served our country.
