QL Internship Helped Me Explore Detroit – Intern Alley

I have never seen any company like Quicken Loans. They have this event called the QL D-Tour, where they make the interns experience unforgettable. I have been part of this event and I didn’t know I was going to have so much fun. Who would have thought that you would be having fun while you are working? I’m already in 2nd place after being in first place during the first week. I have seen a lot around town, and for me being new here, that’s a lot to say.

Thanks to this event, I’ve gotten to take a closer look at Comerica Park (the Detroit Tigers baseball stadium). I’m a big baseball fan. I have also gotten to see some of the amazing things this city has to offer. I’ve already seen the Spirit of Detroit, the Joe Louis Fist, and now I am planning on going down to explore the Detroit riverfront. I also plan on visiting the Russell Industrial Center mural, which I didn’t even know about, but it looks pretty and makes for a nice picture.

I encourage all the interns to participate in the D-Tour challenge; it’s awesome to feel like you’re part of something. I am doing it just for the fun. It’s only 6 weeks long, and I already feel like a champion. I will keep trying to be among the top competitors but I’m not going to be selfish. I wish everyone could win.

So far, my favorite part of Detroit is Comerica Park and few of the downtown areas, which makes for beautiful pictures. I think that the riverfront will become one of my favorite places once I get to see it closer and get some awesome pictures.

Many other adventures will come and I will take the time to enjoy it while I’m at QL. The D-Tour has shown me a lot, and the best part of it is that you meet new people every time you go on an adventure like this. It’s too bad I’ll only be an intern just once, because I would love to have this chance again. I was able to come into a job that takes me around the town, gives me the opportunity to step out of the office and do something fun –something that only happens here at QL! If I get the chance to choose where I want to work, I won’t hesitate to come and be part of this amazing family at Quicken Loans.
