If that sounds like something you’re interested in, you’ll want to listen to John Marcicky, Quicken Loans/Rock Venture community relations manager and race director for Cupid’s Undie Run in Detroit. Cupid’s Undie Run made its debut in Detroit last year and raised more than $130,000 toward a cure for neurofibromatosis, a genetic disorder that causes tumors to grow along various types of nerves and affects nearly one in every 3,000 births in the U.S. This year’s 1-mile run is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 15, at the Fillmore. Registration is $50 and 100% of the proceeds benefit the Children’s Tumor Foundation.
