His repeat performances on HBO’s “Russell Simmons Presents Def Poetry” have led to new projects with the NFL and the NBA. Learn more about the launch of dPOP!, a newly launched workplace design and planning company. Melissa Price is the CEO of dPOP! and has served as the director of facilities for Quicken Loans. Under her direction, her team has demonstrated innovation in design resulting in roughly 1.3 million square-feet of space for Quicken Loans and the family of companies in downtown Detroit. dPOP!, which stands for People, Office, and Places, offers design services, move coordination, furniture procurement and facilities management.
You’ll learn about a company behind a big development project in Detroit’s Central Business District. Jeffery Schostak is director of corporate real estate services of Schostak Brothers & Company. The company, which operates commercial properties in 19 states, is constructing a major office building on Monroe Street downtown. His company specializes in mixed-use development and a variety of necessity-based retail and open air centers.
Hear from two bronze medal-winning skaters who are training in the Detroit area for 2013 Skate America. Madison Hubbell, of Okemos, Mich. and Zach Donohue, of Madison, Conn., are training at Detroit Skating Club and they will be competing in the International Skating Union Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series later this month at Joe Louis Arena. These ice figure skaters will share more about their careers and how they hope to qualify for finals in Fukuoka, Japan.
