Does Friday the 13th have you a little spooked? Don’t be. Instead, tune into WJR-760 AM tonight at 7 p.m. as Paul W. Smith (WJR) and Quicken Loans President and Chief Marketing Officer Jay Farner discuss all the great things going on in Detroit. Here’s a rundown of tonight’s Opportunity Detroit show.
Introducing Mike Marcero (partner at PwC), Billy M. Atkinson (Chair of the Private Company Council, PCC) and Richard Beckman (Chief Executive Officer of Great Expressions Dental).
PwC has moved approximately 650 employees into the One Detroit Center in the last year and donated $575,000 to go along with 4,500 hours of community service.
The PCC was established in 2012 by the Financial Accounting Foundation (FAF) with the sole purpose to work with the FASB and determine whether and when to modify accounting standards for private entities.
Richard has more than 33 years of experience in management and 17 years of experience in consumer-related industries. While serving as president of Credit Acceptance Corporation, he led the company through double-digit annual growth.
In need of holiday gift ideas? Meet Pat McInnis, Chief Executive Officer of Fathead.
Fathead is the industry-leading seller of officially licensed sports, entertainment and custom decals (and more). Internet Retailer magazine recently listed Fathead as a top 10 commerce site and one of the Hot 100 Best Retail Websites of 2014.
The Salvation Army began serving Detroit in 1887. Major Mark Anderson, General Secretary and Metro Detroit Area Commander, Salvation Army, wants to help as many families in need as possible.
The Salvation Army serves 3.3 million meals a year in the tri-county area and shelters 2,000 men, women and children each night. Team members have volunteered at nearly 20 events in the last month with the Salvation Army, who recently kicked off their annual Red Kettle Campaign.
Be sure to tune in tonight, December 13, at 7 p.m. ET for all that and much more!
