Move over Silicon Valley, it’s Detroit’s turn! Paul W. Smith (WJR) and Stephen Luigi Piazza (Quicken Loans) will be sitting down with some start-up founders for their next show on WJR-760 AM. More and more, their weekly radio show is featuring new faces that are joining the business community in Detroit. Here’s a rundown for tonight’s show.
You’ll hear from the co-founders of one of Detroit’s newest training institutes for business and technology. Damien Rocchi, co-founder of Grand Circus, is an experienced manager with a strong background in building new businesses. Previously, Damien worked at Fairfax Business Media in Australia, where he managed a group of digital businesses. Co-founder Bradley Hoos has spent the past seven years of his career launching new businesses and working with start-ups in Chicago. Bradley has worked with many leading technology companies globally as a strategy consultant. You’ll learn about a new strategic marketing firm that is opening as a pilot program through D:hive. Brandon Colvin is founder of CANVASxDetroit and his pop-up shop is opening this week. CANVASxDetroit will offer paint sessions for groups and individuals, led by prominent art instructors. The pilot program was developed by D:hive in conjunction with Opportunity Detroit.
