Mortgage-backed securities are opening up slightly after the stock market’s close yesterday. Treasuries prices declined this morning after some upbeat reports came out of Europe and Asia (Hooray!). Two key events to keep your eyes on today will be the November Wholesale Inventory report and the Treasury auction of $32 billion in 3-year notes.
What’s Up on Wall Street?
It was a quiet day for stocks yesterday, but all three major indexes saw gains when the closing bell rang. The Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 32.77 points (0.27 percent), and the S&P 500 jumped 2.89 points (0.23 percent). The Nasdaq Composite finished the day a whopping 2.34 points (0.09 percent) higher than when it opened.
