Mortgage-backed securities are slightly up this morning as fiscal cliff worries continue to loom. President Obama stressed the need for Democrats and Republicans to reach a deal. Friday is the big day for economic releases with the unemployment rate and payroll data.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 60.20 points (+0.46%) while the Nasdaq went down 2.18 points (-0.07%). The S&P 500 increased 3.41 points (+0.24%).
