It’s quiet once again this morning with the only economic release being the MBA Mortgage Applications, which were released at 7 a.m. this morning. Following three straight weeks of declines, mortgage applications rose 11.7% for the week ending January 4.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 83.49 points (+0.63%) while the Nasdaq also went up 17.99 points (+0.58%). Likewise, S&P 500 increased 7.58 points (+0.52%).
