Mortgage rates had an uneventful day Friday with trade levels remaining low heading into the three day weekend. Overnight, Treasuries fell again before reports on manufacturing and jobs this week will indicate global economic growth. Reports out of both the Euro-zone and China will show manufacturing expanded at a faster pace in August and employment numbers have improved as well.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average increased 19.81 points (0.13%) while the Nasdaq also jumped 26.39 points (0.71%). Also, the S&P 500 rose 7.13 points (0.44%).
