The Federal Constitutional Court in Karlsruhe, Germany, revealed it may be eight weeks before they rule whether or not to suspend the euro-area’s permanent bailout fund. Also, the NY Fed Empire Manufacturing Survey is the first regional manufacturing survey on the docket today.

What’s Up On Wall Street?

All of the U.S. indexes closed in the green Friday as the retail sales report for June revealed a 0.5 % drop from the previous month. The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed up 204 points (1.62 %). Also, the Nasdaq Composite closed up 42.28 points (1.48 %). Finally, the S&p 500 closed up 22.02 points (1.65 %).
