After six days of declines, treasuries rose slightly after data showed U.K. production fell unexpectedly to 1.1 percent. Investors feared the disappointing numbers showed global economic growth is slowing. However, the U.S. economy continues to gather pace after strong hiring numbers were reported last week.
What’s Up on Wall Street?
The Dow Jones Industrial Average decreased 1.99 points (-0.01) while the Nasdaq also fell 15.57 points (-0.48). Also, the S&P 500 dropped 4.34 points (-0.28).
