The Detroit Shoppe, the popular suburban Detroit store which sells just about anything you can think of that’s Detroit related, is opening a pop-up store downtown. Visitors and fans to games 3 & 4 of the World Series will be able to stop by the Detroit Shoppe and indulge in some Detroit memorabilia, food, clothing and art.
It’s a great store, and it’s great to welcome them downtown.

– Somerset Collection CityLoft Store Brings the Best of Detroit to Tigers Fans –
DETROIT, MI (October 25, 2012) — Back by popular demand, The Detroit Shoppe will re-open at 1261 Woodward Ave. between Grand River/State and Gratiot in Downtown Detroit Saturday and Sunday October 27 and 28 for World Series games 3 and 4 from 12 p.m.-9 p.m. (later if needed). Somerset Collection CityLoft will continue the store’s mission to celebrate the people, places and iconic brands, world-renowned cultural venues, and the history and future of Detroit. Woodward Avenue is the perfect place to display this virtual billboard for our city and region to the thousands of World Series visitors who will descend on Detroit from across the country and around the world.
The Woodward Avenue location features a hand-picked selection of the most popular items from The Detroit Shoppe including Fathead wall graphics featuring Detroit Tigers players and logos, products and collectibles from Detroit’s iconic food and beverage companies, branded apparel from the city’s most popular Detroit names (Made in Detroit, etc.), vintage photos, home accessories, gift items from Detroit’s cultural institutions and Detroit-themed books.
Like The Detroit Shoppe at Somerset Collection, a percentage of the proceeds from merchandise sales at The Detroit Shoppe on Woodward will be donated to charity, in this case, to the Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries. Since The Detroit Shoppe opened at Somerset Collection in Troy in November 2010, more than $1 million has been raised for charity. To help support the charitable mission of the project and celebrate the World Series, Quicken Loans and Bedrock Real Estate Services are proud sponsors of The Detroit Shoppe.
Parking for The Detroit Shoppe is available in the Premier Parking Garage across the street from The Detroit Shoppe, as well as the Compuware Garage. The shop is only three blocks—an easy walk—south of Comerica Park. For additional information, please call The Detroit Shoppe at Somerset Collection at 248-816-5470, or visit www.thesomersetcollection.com.
