In case you couldn’t tell by the title of this post, Detroit is ranked in the top 20 for social media jobs in the United States.

As a matter of fact, we are ranked 18^th.

In a study done by Internet marketing recruiting and staffing company Onward Search, cities from all over the country were analyzed based on best job markets, most in-demand job titles and salary ranges for social media professionals.

Quicken Loans Social Media Manager Kelly LaVaute is not surprised by this ranking. She explained, “Detroit has an amazing digital community. Social media can be used for so many positive things, and I think it has even played a part in changing our city’s reputation and highlighting all of the wonderful things about Detroit.”

I couldn’t have said it better myself.
