December retail sales came in a bit stronger than expected, which may have put some downward pressure on MBS prices yesterday. Today is a big earnings day with Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan, and others reporting company earnings.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 30.27 points (-0.22%) while the Nasdaq went up 6.54 points (+0.21%). Likewise, S&P 500 decreased 1.15 points (-0.08%).
