So far, my favorite part of Detroit is Comerica Park and few of the downtown areas, which makes for beautiful pictures. I think that the riverfront will become one of my favorite places once I get to see it closer and get some awesome pictures.
In all my previous internships the work was interesting and okay, but nothing truly exciting or different. My experience at Quicken Loans so far has provided me with a challenge and the excitement that my other internships lacked.
When beginning my internship here at Quicken Loans, I had no idea of what to expect coming in. This is my second internship that I have had, and I must say that this is by far the best experience.
An “ISM” provides the tools that one would need to sustain a positive and uplifting outlook outside of the workplace.
It was easy to feel the connection of a team, and the pure entertainment of working at Quicken Loans from the first day I started.
t the beginning of 2009, the National Guard notified my unit that we would be deployed to Iraq later in the fall. I was okay with going overseas, but I had no idea how much I would miss the city. When I left my apartment I was devastated. I had grown to love my view of the city and felt so sad thinking about being gone for a year.
My experience during my Quicken Loans internship will serve as an example for the rest of my life of what family means.
Here, when an email is sent out site-wide asking for help with something, there’s always a timely response. We don’t have the attitude that “someone else will handle it,” or “it’s not my job to do that.”
I’d like to especially thank the leaders who took the time to show me how to do everything their team does and even take that extra time to explain the little details to me.
Usually geeks like me don’t bother too much with company culture. On the contrary, that’s one of the best parts of QL!
