Manually Enable Your Browser’s Cookies

Important things you should know

Are you using Internet Explorer 6?

  1. Select Start > Control Panel.
  2. Click Advanced, and select “Override automatic cookie handling.”
  3. Select the Accept or Prompt option under First-Party Cookies and Third-Party Cookies. (If you select Prompt option, your approval will be required each time a website attempts to send you a cookie.)
  4. Click OK to exit.

Are you using Internet Explorer 7 or 8?

  1. Select Start > Control Panel.
  2. Click Internet Options, and then click the Privacy tab.
  3. Click Advanced, and select “Override automatic cookie handling.”

Are you using Firefox for Mac?

  1. In the Firefox drop-down menu, select Preferences.
  2. Click Privacy.
  3. Change to “Firefox will: Use custom settings for history.”
  4. To enable cookies, check the box next to “Accept cookies from site”.
  5. Click OK.

Are you using Firefox for Windows?

  1. Click Tools and then select Options.
  2. Click Privacy in the top panel.
  3. Change to “Firefox will: Use custom settings for history.” (If using Firefox skip this step.)
  4. To enable cookies, check the box next to “Accept cookies from site.”
  5. Click OK.

Are you using Safari?

  1. Select Preferences from the Safari drop-down menu.
  2. Click Security in the top panel.
  3. Under Accept Cookies, select “Only sites you navigate to.”

Are you using Chrome?

  1. With the browser open, click wrench icon in the menu bar.
  2. Select Settings and then click “Show advanced settings.”
  3. In the Privacy section, click Content settings.
  4. Select “Allow local data to be set.”
